It’s not called Saturday Night Live for nothing, as new cast member Jenny Slate learned. On Saturday, the actress, best known for her appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, made her SNL debut, memorably dropping the F-bomb in a biker chick skit with Kristen Wiig.
“You know what?” Slate said to Wiig’s character, “You freakin’ just threw an ashtray full of butts at my head. You know what? You stood up for yourself, and I f—– love you for that.”
Despite the verbal slip-up, NBC says Slate will keep her job at SNL.
“No truth to firing conjecture,” NBC spokeswoman Sharon Pannozzo said. “She will not be fired.” (NY Daily News)
